President Barzani to meet France’s Macron in Paris

SULAIMANI – Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani will meet French President Emmanuel Macron at the presidential Elysee Palace in Paris on Tuesday (March 30), said Barzani’s media office.

The two presidents will discuss ways to develop the relations between the Kurdistan Region France, reported the Kurdistan Region Presidency.

“The COVID-19 epidemic and its repercussions, the dangers of terrorism and the tasks of the international coalition, the importance of cooperation and participation of all parties in the face of ISIS, as well as a set of other issues of interest to both sides will be discussed," added the media office. 

France is a member of US led Global Coalition to Defeat Daesh/ISIS former in 2014. 

On September 2, the French president made a brief visit to Baghdad and met with the Iraqi and Kurdish officials.
