SULAIMANI – Turkish warplanes on Tuesday (February 23) conducted intense airstrikes in the Kurdistan Region’s Amedi district.
The airstrikes were launched against suspected positions of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in the village of Sigere and near Berkyat village, said reporter of Zhyan News Network.
Turkish Defense Ministry on Sunday (February 14) announced completion of second phase of “Operation Claw-Eagle” in Duhok’s Gara mountain against Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
Turkish warplanes have intensified airstrikes against suspected positions of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in the Kurdistan Region, damaging civilian houses and causing fear among residents on the border.
Turkish and Iranian military attacks in the Kurdistan Region have often failed to take adequate precautions to minimize civilian casualties, this has cost the lives of hundreds of Kurdish residents from border areas.
